Watch the moment NVIDIA gave AMD its newest nightmare

Today, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 graphics cards. This collection is also known as GeForce RTX 30 Series and will be launched as Founders Edition graphics cards and in editions made by brand partners such as ASUS, EVGA, Colorful, Gigabyte , MSI, PYN and Zotac.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, GeForce RTX 3080 and GeForce RTX 3090 were revealed with three very different configurations – big differences in VRAM, Cuda Cores and prices. The NVIDIA GeForce 3080 is the flagship, while the 3070 is the cheapest “balanced” card, and the RTX 3090 is the big monster that an ordinary person is unlikely to see in person – unless, of course, they are in need of Most powerful GPU that NVIDIA has ever made.

The 3070 works with 5,888 CUDA cores, 8GB GDDR6 VRAM and will be available last – this is the most affordable card, although NVIDIA has not yet revealed its base price. The GeForce RTX 3080 has 8,704 CUDA cores and 10GB GDDR6X VRAM, while the GeForce RTX 3090 has an incredible 10,496 CUDA cores and 24GB GDDR6X VRAM.

All of this and more was revealed at the NVIDIA event that you can see in the video below. Be prepared to learn more than you could ever want to know about these next generation graphics cards, to tell you the truth.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 is priced at $ 499 and NVIDIA suggests that this card be launched in October 2020. The GeForce RTX 3080 will launch on September 17, 2020, for $ 699 USD. The most monstrous card unveiled today, the GeForce RTX 3090, has a release date of September 24, 2020, starting at $ 1499 USD.

Earlier this week, AMD launched the Radeon RX 5300 graphics card without fanfare. This card was launched as a direct competitor to NVIDIA’s GTX 1650. At the moment, AMD is not in a great position to fight the RTX 30 on all fronts.

We will have to wait and see if AMD’s Big Navi card will be launched (later this year) with a price / power combination that is ready to be used on the RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090. Leaks earlier this year suggested that the Big Navi from AMD will have somewhere between 15% and 50% speed improvement over the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti.
