Audio company Sennheiser has launched a new pair of real wireless headphones called the CX 400BT, the ones that offer “exceptional sound quality”, deep bass and more, according to the company. The CX 400BT follows the MOMENTUM wireless headphones previously released by the company, this time offering high fidelity, noise reduction and more.
True wireless headphones are, of course, headphones without a cable to connect them. Sennheiser says he created the CX 400BT model for users who have “fast and always on” lifestyles. Among other things, users can expect seven hours of headset life per charge, plus another 20 hours of playback using the model’s charging case.
In addition, the CX 400BT has built-in microphones with noise reduction to receive calls and access assistants like Siri. Sennheiser promises “crystal clear” audio from its latest model, which also features customizable touch controls so the user can interact with them in a way that looks more natural.
The headphones support Android and iOS, as well as codecs like aptX, SBC and AAC. Investigating the specifications, it seems that Sennheiser included 7mm dynamic drivers in the CX 400BT, the same ones found in the same company’s MOMENTUM True Wireless 2 model. The design is described as minimalist; customers can get them in white and black color options, and come with four size adapters.
The CX 400BT works with Sennheiser’s Smart Control app, which allows users to adjust audio to their own tastes using the equalizer. However, Sennheiser says users have “detailed treble” and “natural midrange” guaranteed right out of the box – in addition to the deep bass, of course. The new model hits stores on September 15 for $ 199.95.
