Pakistani Passport Makes a Huge Improvement in Latest Passport Rankings for 2020

The Passport Index, the world’s leading real-time passport classification tool, ranked the Pakistani passport in 192nd place in the Individual Power Passport Ranking (IPPR) 2020.

The Pakistani passport ranking has improved significantly this year, climbing 6 positions from 198th in 2019.

The IPPR is compiled by combining the Mobility Score (MS), the number of countries that can be visited without a visa or they can obtain a visa on arrival and the United Nations Development Program Human Development Index (UNDP HDI). The higher the MS, the better the IPPR. The UNDP HDI serves as a tiebreaker if passports have the same MS.

The Pakistani passport has an MS of 33, as its holders enjoy ease of access without a visa at 7 and visa upon arrival in 26 countries.

Japan with a MS of 116 was ranked in the top IPPR 2020, while Iraq with a MS of 26 was ranked at the bottom of the list of 199 members.
