Need for Speed ​​Heat will become EA’s first multiplatform multiplayer title, thanks to an update that will be available tomorrow, EA announced on a blog today. The new crossplay feature allows you to play with friends on PC via Origin and Steam, PS4 and Xbox One.

After installing the update, you will be prompted to enable cross-play according to the update’s update notes. If you choose not to participate, you can do so later in the game’s privacy settings.

Need for Speed ​​Heat will arrive on EA Access and Origin Access game subscription services on June 16, EA also announced today, and the studio featured more “Need for Speed ​​and Steam ads” during the next event from EA Play Live on June 18th. EA brought Need for Speed ​​Heat and many other games to Steam last week, which means that you no longer need to use the company’s original launcher if you want to play these games on the PC.

EA hasn’t shared much about future Need for Speed ​​games, but we know they will be developed by Criterion Games, creator of Burnout.
