Fortnite survey hints at pricey subscription plan with special perks

It seems that Epic Games is exploring the possibility of offering a Fortnite monthly subscription plan that will give players special benefits, including a monthly batch of V-Bucks – at least based on a survey that some users report seeing. The survey includes a promotional photo for the possible monthly subscription, as well as questions about users’ perception of offers and potential price.

The survey was presented to @MarDlt_ on Twitter; the details were handed over to @iFireMonkey, a well-known data miner behind several previous Fortnite leaks. The research image shows an entirely new unreleased skin, which was apparently replaced by a space reserved for Ghost Rider after the original image was leaked.

The leaked subscription promotional image details a plan called the “Monthly Crew Package”, which is listed as an early access package featuring clothing and style, back bling, pickaxe, Battle Pass and 1,000 V-Bucks per month (equivalent around $ 10).

The survey asks users what they believe to be included in the subscription based on the promotional images, presumably to see if users perceive the offers correctly.

Likewise, players are asked to rate on a scale of 1 to 10 how much they like (or dislike) the idea presented. It is not clear from the shared research and image, but iFireMoneky says that the included skin would eventually arrive at the Item Store so that non-subscribers would buy.

Also included in the survey is a potential price for the subscription plan: a hefty $ 15.99 price tag, making it one of the most expensive monthly entertainment subscriptions anyone can subscribe to. There is also a “Crew Ninja” listed package with a higher price of $ 18.99 / month. It is not clear whether this package is related to the Ninja streamer.

Although the price is quite high, diehard Fortnite fans may already be spending as much (or more) on the game. When you consider the Battle Pass and the included V-Bucks, the price can be worth it for those who usually buy cosmetics at the Item Shop. However, we still don’t know if the subscription will be launched.
