The arrival of January brought a new month for Fortnite Crew subscribers, but some players experienced a bug: they did not receive their 1,000 monthly V-Bucks as expected. A few weeks later, Epic is back with an update on the problem, stating that it is now in the process of getting digital money from these subscribers – and, he notes, they will earn a little more this time.
It is unclear what caused the Fortnite Crew bug, but Epic notes that this has resulted in some subscribers appearing inactive, although their subscription has been renewed. The problem affected players whose subscriptions were automatically renewed, and while they could still play, Epic said on January 1 that they would be delayed in getting their V-Bucks.
In a January 9 update, the company announced that it is now processing the missing V-Bucks, meaning that subscribers who did not receive them on the first of the month will see them coming into their accounts soon. In addition, the company is giving these players a bonus of 500 V-Bucks, probably to make up for the delay.
Fortnite Crew is the company’s relatively new subscription service that offers subscribers the season’s battle pass, as well as an exclusive skin pack and 1,000 monthly V-Bucks. The plan is available for $ 11.99 / month and can be canceled at any time.
The game itself is solidly in its fifth season and is just weeks away from the arrival of Fortnite Competitive season five tournaments. The company recently detailed its electronic sports plan for the season, briefly explaining the types of events players can expect, but the finer details will not arrive for a few more weeks.
