Deepika Padukone was thrilled during the trailer release event of her upcoming movie Chhapaak as she burst into tears while talking about the movie. While talking about the “most special movie of her career,” the actor said, “The reason why we made this movie is to make people see the special factor in it that we saw while creating it.”

Director Karan Johar gave a huge thumbs up to the trailer and tweeted, “Boyfriend! Tear me … Stories like these need to be told.”
Kangana Ranaut’s sister, Rangoli Chandel, also took to the micro-blogging site to praise Deepika. “Meghna and Deepika will win many tears from this movie, which my family and I went through together with the prejudice we faced was worse than death … a story of a lifelong need to reach this nation, praying that it works. ., “she wrote.
The film is based on Laxmi’s real-life acid survivor who was allegedly attacked by a spurned lover in 2005 at the age of 15.
Laxmi had to undergo several surgeries. Later she took on the task of assisting acid attack survivors and promoting campaigns to stop such attacks. Her assailant, a 32-year-old man, was a connoisseur of her family. Laxmi is a well-known advocate of stricter penalties in acid attacks.
“Chhapaak” is assisted by Meghna Gulzar. It is co-produced by Deepika and Fox Star Studios and marks her production.
This marks the first collaboration between Deepika and Vikrant Massey, who plays a key role in the film. The film will go to theaters on January 10, 2020.
