As revealed last month, Fallout 76 is getting a new expansion centered on the Brotherhood of Steel. The famous faction of soldiers equipped with powerful armor will arrive in Appalachia in an update called Steel Dawn, which will be released on December 1st. Today, we were able to see a little of the Brotherhood of Steel in action thanks to a new trailer.
Specifically, the trailer introduces us to Paladin Rahmani, Knight Shin and Scribe Valdez. There isn’t much action in the trailer, but we hear why the Brotherhood is going to the Appalachians – they want to “restore society and preserve any technology” that will help them achieve that goal.
When the expansion was first revealed, we were told that we would help the Brotherhood protect this technology, but that the decision on how it would be used would ultimately be up to us. What that means is not yet clear, but it certainly looks like players will not be forced to partner with the Brotherhood of Steel throughout the expansion.
In a lengthy blog post today, Bethesda also unveiled the Fellowship Recruitment Pack, which will be offered as a paid add-on along with the free Steel Dawn update. The package includes the Brotherhood’s reconnaissance tower, barricade and barracks cabinet for your CAMP, and also includes the Brotherhood’s recovered power armor painting, a tactical field package and a greeting emote.
Bethesda also revealed a roadmap for the rest of the year and, in addition to the launch of Steel Dawn on December 1, there will also be bonuses on XP weekends, sales and the start of season 3 before the end of 2020. You can check the roadmap in the image above, but on the other hand, look for more trailers and news about Fallout 76: Steel Dawn before its release.
