Since Vivo launched the Snapdragon 888 with the iQOO 7, there has been speculation about a Snapdragon 870 with the iQOO as well. The mysterious phone was largely unknown, but a new report shows it could be the next iQOO Neo 5.
The Neo 5 now appeared in a live image that shows a little bit of the phone’s design and also reveals the main specs.
The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC, which is an overclocked version of last year’s flagship Snapdragon 865+. It will have up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage and will boot Android 11 with Origin OS on top. The new and updated Origin OS is set to officially replace Vivo’s Funtouch OS.
Another report said the iQOO Neo 5 will have an AMOLED screen with FHD + resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, although there is no mention of the screen size. He also revealed that the phone will have a plastic frame and super fast 88W charging.
It is rumored to debut in China in mid-March. This means that it will probably be released internationally in April.
We hope to hear more about the iQOO Neo 5 as March approaches. Stay tuned for updates.
