Women’s football continues to grow in popularity around the world, with FIFA announcing an expansion of the Women’s World Cup to 32 teams from the next edition in 2023, and an increase in the prize pool.
The United States Women’s Team (USWNT), twice champion of the Women’s World Cup, unsurprisingly, produces some of the most recognized and popular players. Brazil, the traditional power of soccer, also has some of the best known soccer players in its ranks.

Half the most powerful Canadian football couple (her boyfriend is Bayern Munich player Alphonso Davies), Huitema quickly made his name on the global stage, despite his young age.
Huitema made her international debut in 2017 at just 15 years old, becoming the third youngest international player in Canadian women’s history. Later that year, just over a month after turning 16, she scored her first two international goals.
The British Colombian, who made the Vancouver Whitecaps youth team, drew the attention of coaches at Paris Saint-Germain in 2018. She played for the French team without a contract at an exhibition tournament in 2018, but chose not to have him sign a full-time contract to maintain your qualification to play college football.
However, the following year, Huitema changed his mind and opted to become totally professional, dropping out of college. She signed with PSG that summer and has since made 27 appearances in all competitions for the team.
