Let him live according to this epic trailer
If you’ve been looking forward to Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga fulfilling the incredible promise of its exciting trailer from last August (see above), I have some bittersweet news: the game has been postponed again. The developer TT Games tweeted on Friday that “we will not be able to set the intended release date for spring”, which was already a delay from the game’s original launch window in 2020.
Bittersweet, because the delay comes with the promise that it will be the “biggest and best LEGO game in the company”, which is exactly what the trailer looked like last fall.
Sixteen years have passed since the first Lego Star Wars, and I can certainly wait a little longer if there is a chance to achieve that goal. We have seen many games being released before they are ready, and I can think of at least one notable reason why any developer needs a little more time now.
That could mean one less game for new PS5 and Xbox Series X / S buyers to take advantage of their new consoles in the short term. (It is coming to Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC as well.)
