After launching an Air Dresser that will sanitize your clothes, Samsung has now collaborated with the American company Clean Remote LLC and introduced a TV remote control compatible with sanitation for healthcare facilities.
Starting today, all healthcare organizations will receive an additional clean remote control unit when purchasing a commercial Samsung TV. According to Samsung, this remote control was designed to help healthcare facilities in the USA prevent the transmission of viruses by TV remote controls.
The company invented remote control after the United States infectious disease agency, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, recommended that health facilities regularly disinfect and clean their remote controls, since researchers found that remote controls in such facilities they are the main carriers of bacteria. They can be easily transmitted to humans and can be carried off-site, as well as by visitors and hospital staff.
Samsung’s clean remote control is designed to be compatible with all Samsung Healthcare Grade and Hospitality Grade TVs. It will not require any additional protocol and configuration. Like any other remote control, the clean remote control runs on two AAA batteries. It is a simple remote control with large, easily visible keys.
According to Samsung, it has sold more than 14 million clean remote controls and feedback from some of the facilities reveals promising results.
