MSI has launched two new laptops designed for business users: the Summit E13 Flip Evo and the Summit E16 Flip. The new models were introduced as part of the company’s “Determined to Succeed 2021” streaming event. Both laptops feature the elegant designs we expect from MSI, as well as thoughtful design aspects that are tailored to business needs.
The company has a number of features included in its new Summit series laptops, including enterprise-class security and “exceptional” battery life. As their names suggest, laptops have hinges that allow users to rotate the screen in a similar way to a tablet; it is accompanied by a pen to write and draw directly on the machine.
Likewise, MSI has included a 16:10 aspect ratio screen in these models, which claims to offer 10 percent more visual space that reduces the need to scroll frequently. The laptops have CNC machined bodies for greater durability that, according to the company, will guarantee “robust” hinges and screen rotations for years.
While some details are still missing at this point, MSI revealed that the MSI Summit E16 Flip will feature 11th generation Intel Core i7-U processors, integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and the option of a next-generation NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU. The smaller Summit E13 Flip Evo, in turn, comes with a Core i7-11857G7 processor and integrated Iris Xe graphics.
Summit E13 has a 13.4 inch Full HD touch screen, while Summit E16 has a 16 inch QHD + touch screen. While it is unclear how much storage the E16 will offer, the E13 will have up to 1 TB M.2 PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
The E16 model will include Dynamic Cooler Boost technology to keep fan noise levels low, even when under heavy loads. In addition, MSI joked that its new business laptops have a 20-hour battery, noise-canceling technology, a noise reduction camera that should help with remote work and ultra-thin designs. Pricing and availability details have not been revealed.
The laptops are joined by the company’s new USB-C docking station with five USB ports; is priced at $ 239 USD.
