Monster Hunter Digital Event confirmed with more Rise and Stories 2 details on the way

Even with only a few weeks, Monster Hunter Rise already seems to be a success for Capcom. We’ll find out what’s next for the game next week, as Capcom announced a new Monster Hunter digital event for April 2021. Not only will new details about Monster Hunter Rise be revealed, but Capcom says the information about Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will also be available.

Monster Hunter Rise, however, is likely to be the focal point of the show, as there are still a few months to go before the launch of Monster Hunter Stories 2 on July 9. During the show, Capcom says it will discuss the first free update for Monster Hunter Rise, which will be the version 2.0 update of the game.

We can expect to see monsters like Chameleos and Apex Rathalos during the show, although we expect more monsters besides those to appear in the Rise version 2.0 update. Details about the update have been very sparse so far, so I hope Capcom will delve into this event. We don’t know when the update will be released, but in a follow-up tweet, Capcom says it will require 0.9 GB of free space to install, suggesting that Capcom may discard the update soon after the event closes.

As for Monster Hunter Stories 2, what we will see from this game is essentially unknown. Stories 2 is scheduled for release on Switch and PC on July 9, 2021, so we’ll probably see a new game trailer at the very least – perhaps with more information on the game’s history to begin with.

In addition, however, we will only have to tune in and find out. Capcom’s Monster Hunter digital event in April 2021 will take place on April 27 at 7:00 am PDT / 10 am EDT on the Monster Hunter Twitch channel. We will notify you of any important announcements for the event, so be sure to come back here on the 27th for more information.
