Yesterday, we heard that Fall Guys will be coming to Nintendo Switch later this year. With the Switch version finally confirmed, that left a big question: what about the Xbox? Xbox One players have been there with Switch players wondering when Fall Guys would come to the platform of their choice, and today, we have an answer to that question too.
It turns out that the Switch announcement was in fact an indication that Fall Guys will go to the Xbox. Today, developer Mediatonic announced that Fall Guys will arrive on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | Only this summer. We don’t have a precise date, but we wouldn’t be surprised to hear that the Xbox launch aligns with the release of the Switch.
Unfortunately for us, the tweet announcing the Xbox Series X versions | Fall Guys’ S and Xbox One is basically devoid of any additional details. In addition to telling us that it will be released in the summer of 2021, the tweet does not provide any additional information.
A big question in this release is whether we will finally have some kind of cross platform progression between all the different versions of Fall Guys. As it currently stands, the progression is separate in the PS4 and PC game versions, and you only have the option of playing with those on the same platform.
Although Mediatonic has given no indication that this will change in the future, the launch of the Xbox and Switch versions would be as good a time as any to finally launch a cross-progression and cross-game system. We’ll let you know when more about the Xbox and Switch versions of Fall Guys are revealed, so stay tuned for more information.
