The Elder Scrolls Online: Console Enhanced is the next-generation version of the popular MMO that will arrive on the Xbox Series X / S and PS5 on June 8, 2021.
The Elder Scrolls Online: The enhanced console version will be free for everyone with ESO on PS4 or Xbox One, and this new version cuts loading time in half (on average), adds a 60 FPS performance mode and increases the drawing distance almost doubled, and more.
Those looking for a “visual feast” at ESO will also be able to take advantage of native 4K at 30 FPS in Fidelity Mode.
There will also be improved reflections, shadows, depth of field, ambient occlusion with global illumination of the screen space, updated antialiasing and unlocked textures.
ESO: Console Enhanced was announced during the Blackwood Chapter Preview event that will allow players to “expose the dramas and tyrannical schemes that consume the region and [they] must discover their connection to the Prince of Destruction and their terrible plans for Tamriel.”
Although Blackwood is an independent story, its events will promote the overall narrative of Gates of Oblivion, which will continue to develop throughout 2021.
Also unveiled is the new Companion System that will give players the option to choose between two new companions whose style of play will be defined by selecting their equipment and leveling up their skills.
Blackwood Chapter will be released for PC on June 1, 2021 and will be available on consoles, including ESO: Console Enhanced, on June 8, 2021.
