PC gamers can now check out a new content update for Dead Cells – dubbed “Whack-A-Mole”, the new content is great in more ways than one. The first major update since the Fatal Falls DLC released in January, Whack-A-Mole features three new mutations, a new NPC and three new oversized weapons.
To play your own game of Dead Cells whack-a-mole, look for new large-scale weapons, including the Oven Ax, a club called Palito and a full-sized Headstone.
A number of new additions to the update have been implemented based on suggestions from the community, including three new mutations and a new NPC called Collector’s Intern. The Intern will appear in the Collector’s room when five Boss Stem Cells are active and will have the same functionality as the Collector.
The new update also includes a number of balancing fixes for the main game and the recent Fatal Falls DLC, with many of them marked in the patch notes as coming from suggestions from the community.
As usual for Dead Cells updates, Whack-A-Mole will not air on the console for a few more weeks – in response to a tweet, Motion Twin suggested that it usually takes about three to four weeks for certification.
In more exciting news for players on other platforms, the game’s first Bad Seed DLC is now available to mobile players on Android and iOS. You can check the complete details of the DLC here.
