With everyone confined at home during the COVID-19 pandemic last year, several multiplayer games have seen a dramatic increase in popularity. Among Us was one of those games, and its meteoric rise has led developer Innersloth Games to make some major changes to its development schedule, canceling a planned sequence and rolling its content into the current game and starting the process of bringing Between Us to other platforms. .
Entre Us started life as a mobile game for Android and iOS in 2018 before being released for PC the same year. At the end of last year, Innersloth brought Between Us to the Nintendo Switch and, at the end of March, the company announced that the game will arrive on the Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One later this year. Now Innersloth closes in April announcing that it will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 as well.
We don’t know when, exactly, Among Us will come to the PlayStation 4 and 5, but Innersloth says it will happen later this year. With Xbox versions in progress as well, it is possible that we will see the game launch on Xbox and PlayStation at the same time in 2021.
Innersloth also says that when Between Us arrives on the PlayStation, it will be released with all four maps that are currently available in other versions of the game. This means that the huge airship map, released earlier this year and is the most recent map of the pool, will be present in the PlayStation version from day one.
It is also unknown how much Between Us will cost on PlayStation 4 and 5, but we can make a guess, as it costs a mere $ 5 on PC and Switch (it’s free to download on iOS and Android). We’ll let you know when more details on the PlayStation version of Between Us are revealed, so stay tuned for more.
