Any enthusiastic PC player who wants to build a new gaming PC with high-end hardware, such as the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, knows that it is almost impossible to get your hands on some PC hardware now. Practically the only way to obtain one of the cards is to pay an exorbitant amount of money in relation to the MSRP to a money changer. Yesterday, AMD announced a new version of its RX 6800 XT video card called the RX 6800 XT Midnight Black.
The card was launched directly on AMD.com and it was noted that its supply is limited and will only be available while supplies last. It is currently not known whether AMD plans the RX 6800 XT Midnight Black to be replenished in the future or if it was only available in a single run. With regard to the hardware specifications, it was the same as the initial version of the 6800 XT which is almost impossible to find.
The specifications of the RX 6800 XT Midnight Black include a Navi 21 XT GPU with 4608 stream processors. AMD equipped the card with 16 gigabytes of GDDR6 memory and 128 megabytes of Infinity Cache. The card has a 2.5-slot design and has dual eight-pin power connectors that draw up to 300 watts of power.
As you can expect, with the high demand for new graphics cards, the RX 6800 XT Midnight Black sold out almost immediately. It carried the same suggested price of $ 649 as the standard version of the card. AMD made the RX 6800 XT Midnight Black, differentiated from the standard version by its all black design, available from 6am PST yesterday.
Anyone who wants to get their hands dirty on one of these boards will have to turn to the money changers who are the scourge of PC enthusiasts and gamers everywhere. Some PC components are currently difficult to find thanks to a perfect storm of demand and shortages, partly due to the pandemic.
